Joint communiqué at the conclusion of the Prime Minister’s working and friendship visit to Senegal

The working and friendship visit of Prime Minister El Moctar Ould Djay, at the invitation of his Senegalese counterpart, Ousmane Sonko, concluded with a joint communiqué.

In this communiqué, the two Prime Ministers welcomed the quality of the political dialogue between Dakar and Nouakchott, illustrated by the frequency of exchanges between the Heads of State and government authorities, as well as by a perfect understanding and convergence of views on numerous issues.

On the regional level, “The two delegations welcomed their perfect convergence of views on several regional and international issues, particularly global challenges such as climate change, the fight against land degradation through the Great Green Wall initiative, and the fight against terrorism and violent extremism, the consequences of which are likely to hinder the development efforts of both states.”
